Description
Taizo-in Temple is a sub-temple located to the west of Myoshinji Temple and was built during the Muromachi period. The temple has the national treasure “Hyonezu” (Catching a Catfish with a Gourd) which is a representative work of early India ink painting that brought a Zen question for meditation alive in the form of a painting. The temple also has a Japanese rock garden created by Motonobu Kano.
