Description
Another Kyoto, Kameoka. A 100-year-old traditional Japanese house (formerly the home of an incense merchant) in the old castle town area was renovated by the city of Kameoka into accommodation and opened in October 2018.
The facility was overseen by Alex Kerr, a leading expert in the restoration of traditional Japanese houses.
Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, is a major producer of Kyoto vegetables, and has long been known as Kyoto's kitchen due to the abundance of its ingredients.
You can order additional Kyoto cuisine (catering) that allows you to enjoy these local ingredients.
Enjoy a relaxing trip to Japan at this quaint traditional Japanese house in the inner sanctum of Kyoto.
