Description
Surrounded by cedar trees, this stone path captures the essence of the Kumano Kodo trail. The name Daimonzaka comes from a large gate that was once located at the top of the path. Presently, that gate is reproduced using Nachisan Seiganto-ji Temple's Ninmon gate. Tafukeoji Shrine is located along the path. and is said to be the last of Kumanno's 99 “Oji” shrines.
