Description
Peaking at 1,637 m, Akita-Komagatake comprises Mt. Onamedake, the highest mountain in Akita Prefecture, Mt. Odake, Mt. Medake, Mt. Yokotake and Mt. Kodake, and serves as a symbol of Akita. The trailhead from the eighth station upwards from between mid-June and late July is blanketed in more than 100 types of beautiful flowers, including dicentras and daylilies.
