Both Ginza and Tsukiji bustle with Japanese and international tourists, no matter the time of day. Even if your flight to Haneda Airport arrives at night, both neighborhoods are easily accessible and fun to visit - let us show you the area's best night life spots for after 9:00 p.m!
Step Back in Time and Have a Late Night Snack!

Ever since the restaurant's opening in 1947, the confectionery store called Ginza West has become one of Ginza's most well-established stores. You're greeted by a collection of classic gramophone records at the entrance of the café that have been there since day one - this nostalgic retro-atmosphere will make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
Our recommendation is the cream puff for 411 yen, or the egg sandwich for 1,188 yen, which is just the right snack for a small appetite! The "cookie assortment" for 2,160, all made with natural choice ingredients, is a popular and unique souvenir. Ginza West is open until 11:00 p.m., but closes on 8:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and on days before a national holiday.

Sweets Like Tiny Artworks

Another one of Ginza's most famous pastry shops is Marquise, a store that'll always surprise you with creative tastes and creations, focusing on tradition and trendiness. Ever since the 50s, roulade cake has been very popular in Japan and belongs to the store's staple goods, just like eclair, which was invented in France in the early 19th century.
With their elaborate and detailed design, the cakes seem like little artworks, just like the many different chocolate creations - did you ever want to nibble on a high-heel made entirely out of chocolate? Marquise will both please your eyes and tickle your tastebuds. During weekdays, the store is open until 1:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Shop To Your Heart's Desire at Japan's Biggest Discount Store

Don Quijote, often simply called Donki, is Japan's largest discount store chain. From daily necessities, clothes, electrical appliances to goods like cosmetics, liquor, and tobacco - Donki's line-up is simply impressive. Pharmaceuticals, hair dryers, and beauty products are especially popular, with sheet masks leading the list of best-sellers. Snacks and sweets with typical Japanese flavors, such as wasabi or green tea, can be plentifully found, making Donki an amazing place for souvenir shopping. Customer service is available in Chinese, Korean, as well as English, and the store is open 24 hours a day.
