Description
A shrine with a history close to 1,300 years from the time it was built under direct order by Emperor Shomu in 724. Jurojin, one of Asakusa Meisho Shichifukujin (the seven deities of good fortune of Asakusa) is enshrined here. The shrine also has a monument dedicated to the god of buildings that was erected in 1857.
